RIEDEL
Riedel’ story begins in 1673 in Bohemia with Johann Christoph Riedel, the first member of the family to embark on a career as a luxury glassware dealer. Later generations of the Riedel family have continued to implement knowledge related to glass processing, engraving practices and to refine crystal coloring techniques up to the modern production of mouth-blown wine glasses. Claus Josef Riedel, member of the ninth generation, is the one who had the intuition of the importance of the role of the shape of the glass in the development of wine, revolutionizing the stylistic conception of tasting glasses in a permanent way and receiving numerous awards and recognitions from the world of design and oenology. Today Riedel is present with its glasses in 125 countries and is one of the most well-known and renowned design glassworks in the world for the quality of glass and for the design shapes that transform glasses and chalices into valuable objects designed to meet the more specific needs of wine enthusiasts and experts.
